Jamie’s Bakery – Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Jamie’s Bakery. By placing an order and paying a deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Jamie’s Bakery reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

2. Orders & Booking

All orders are subject to availability and will only be confirmed once a deposit has been received.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all order details provided (including flavour, size, design, wording, collection/delivery date, and contact details) are correct at the time of booking.

3. Deposit & Payment

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure an order and reserve the requested date.

Orders will not be confirmed or scheduled until the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to collection or delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay the remaining balance by the agreed time may result in the order being cancelled and the deposit retained.

4. Cancellations

If a customer cancels an order after the deposit has been paid, the 50% deposit will not be refunded as the date and preparation time will have been reserved and materials may have already been purchased.

In the unlikely event that Jamie’s Bakery needs to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.

5. Cake Design & Appearance

Jamie’s Bakery will make every reasonable effort to create cakes and baked goods that match the agreed design, colours, and theme.

However, as all products are handmade, slight variations in colour, decoration, and final appearance may occur.

Reference images provided by customers are used as inspiration only and exact replication cannot be guaranteed.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts that artistic interpretation may be required and minor design variations do not constitute grounds for a refund.

6. Collection & Delivery / Acceptance of Goods

Customers must inspect their order at the time of collection or delivery.

If the customer believes the cake does not meet the agreed specification or expectations, this must be raised immediately at the time of collection or delivery so that the issue can be reviewed.

If the customer accepts the cake and removes it from the premises or accepts delivery without raising any concerns, the order will be considered accepted in satisfactory condition.

Once accepted, refunds, partial refunds, or replacements of the remaining balance will not be issued on the basis of design preference, appearance, or change of mind.
